Carrollton’s volleyball team moved to 2-5 on the season and 1-1 in Eastern Buckeye Conference action with a 3-1 victory over the Minerva Lady Lions Tuesday evening.
The Lady Lions defeated Carrollton in the opening set 25-23 but the Lady Warriors didn’t let them stop them as they roared back to win the next three sets to claim the match.
Carrollton won the final sets respectively, 25-14, 25-18 and 25-23.
Maya Keyser led Carrollton’s serving attack with 14 points and three aces behind the line. For Carrollton, Molly Brace, Alli Stackhouse and Bayley McClelland each recorded six kills for the Lady Warriors. Brace also finished the match with 18 assists.
Josie Burgett was Carrollton’s defensive leader with 19 digs and Lauren Marmo recorded two solo blocks for Carrollton.
Carrollton volleyball will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 9 at home against Dover.
