A 58-year-old man died Saturday afternoon as a result of a two-vehicle accident.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a crash at the intersection of SR 212 at New Cumberland Rd at 12:15 p.m.
Deanna R. Bruder, 35, was driving a 2007 Honda Accord when she attempted to cross the intersection. That’s when Denver E. Law II’s motorcycle collided with Bruder’s vehicle. Law died at the scene.
Willow M. Law, 47, the passenger on the motorcycle, was transported by MedFlight to Akron City Hospital with injuries. Both motorcycle riders were not wearing helmets.
Bruder and her three juvenile passengers were not transported to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
Departments that responded to the scene include: New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Sherrodsville Fire, Mineral City Fire, Fairfield Township Fire, University Hospital Helicopter,Tuscarawas County Coroner, Rosenberry Towing and Performance Towing.
