The Canton Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning.
According to Chief Jack Angelo, his department was dispatched to the 900 block of 3rd St. NW for reports of shots fired just after 2 a.m.
When police arrived to the scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County Coroner’s office.
The victim has not been identified at this time.
