The Canton Police Department is investigating the death of a 27-year-old.
Police were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of 6th St NW after a caller said a man had been assaulted in the home. When police arrived, they located Devon Meredith dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The call came in around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Canton Police have contacted the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for assistance.
