Jason M. Neading, 39, a Sandy Valley Middle School teacher, was arrested Friday night after a sex-related investigation.
Neading, of East Sparta, was booked into the Stark County Jail on a rape charge, according an official with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office. He is listed as a middle school teacher on the district’s website.
Officials with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to JMN weeks ago that Neading was at the center of a criminal investigation but could not go into detail at the time. The Sandy Valley School District has not responded to multiple attempts for comment in the last month pending investigation.
The victim is not a student, a source tells JMN.
