Officials have confirmed that a US Marshal was shot while serving an arrest warrant in the 1700 block of Regent Avenue in Canton. Canton police also say that the suspected shooter was also shot.
The shooting occurred around 5 PM Wednesday evening. The injuries that the US Marshal sustained are believed to be non-life-threatening, and the condition of the suspect who was also shot is unknown at this time.
Both the US Marshal and the suspect were taken to a local hospital. It is unknown if they were transported to the same hospital.
