Canton police tell JMN that they were dispatched to the 2100 block of Tuscarawas St E. to investigate a shooting Thursday at 8:30 am.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 36-year-old female dead in the home of an apparent gunshot wound. There has not been a suspect formally charged in the death of the woman.
The shooting is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Canton Police Detective Bureau at 330-489-3144.
