Three people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash that caused one vehicle to catch fire early Monday morning near Brewster, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. at the intersection of state Route 21 and state Route 212 in southern Stark County. Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canton Post responded to investigate.
According to Canton Post Commander Lt. Johnnie H. Maier, the crash involved two vehicles. A 2014 Ford C-Max caught fire following the collision.
Authorities identified the driver of the Ford C-Max as William M. King II, of Baltic, and the passenger as Kevin Raber, 41, of Baltic. Both were transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was identified as Edward Beliveau, 73, of Carrollton, who was also taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said the crash report remains incomplete as investigators continue working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
No additional information has been released.
