A Stark County lottery player is starting the new year with a six-figure payday.
According to information released by the Ohio Lottery, a winning ticket for the Rolling Cash 5 game was sold in Massillon, matching all five numbers drawn during the Thursday, January 1 drawing. The ticket is worth $150,000.
Lottery officials say the winning numbers were selected by the player rather than generated randomly by the terminal.
The ticket was purchased at Tuslaw BellStores, located along Lincoln Way West in Massillon. The identity of the winner has not been released.
Rolling Cash 5 is a daily draw game that gives players the chance to win by correctly matching five numbers from a pool of 39.
Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
