A fatal three-vehicle crash has closed a portion of state Route 43 between Malvern and Waynesburg Wednesday evening as emergency crews continue to investigate.
The crash occurred near Ruegg’s on state Route 43. Preliminary information obtained by Jordan Miller News indicates the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident as a fatal crash.
Authorities have confirmed three vehicles and three people were involved. Officials have not yet released how many people were killed or injured, and no additional information about the victims has been made public.
State Route 43 remains closed at Ruegg’s while troopers and emergency personnel investigate the crash and clear the scene. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
