A 21-year-old man has died following a shooting Monday morning at an apartment complex on the city’s west side.
Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren said officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Tuscarawas Street W, near Aultman Avenue NW, after receiving reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds at the complex.
The victim, identified as Daryle J. Bryant, 21, of Jackson Township, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police later confirmed that Bryant succumbed to his wounds.
Family members have been notified, according to investigators. Detectives with the Canton Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests have been made, and police have not released details about a possible suspect or motive.
