Police are investigating a domestic-related homicide after a married couple was found shot to death Tuesday afternoon on Akron’s northwest side.
Officers with the Akron Police Department were called to the 200 block of Casterton Avenue at about 2:26 p.m. on Jan. 6 for a reported welfare check, according to police.
When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives determined the two individuals were married, and investigators believe the incident was domestic in nature. The case remains under investigation.
