The New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one person injured Sunday morning in Carroll County.
According to Sergeant Clint Armstrong, troopers responded to the crash on State Route 542 near milepost 12 in Rose Township around 11:55 a.m. A southbound vehicle lost control, striking a guardrail, utility pole, and embankment before coming to rest.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries has not been disclosed.
The exact time of the crash and how long the roadway was closed remain under investigation. State Route 542 has since reopened.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by local fire and EMS crews.
