UPDATE: Traffic is flowing again on I-77.
Traffic on Interstate 77 southbound is moving at a near standstill this evening after a crash blocked two lanes just beyond Portage Street.
The two right lanes are currently closed as emergency crews respond. Drivers are experiencing heavy delays as traffic merges into the remaining open lanes.
Details about the number of vehicles involved or possible injuries are not yet available. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
