A Canton woman died after being struck by two vehicles on Tuscarawas Street West Friday afternoon, according to police.
Chief John Gabbard of the Canton Police Department said officers responded to the 2400 block of Tuscarawas Street West around 2:22 p.m. Sept. 26 for a crash involving a pedestrian.
Investigators said a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound when it struck 45-year-old Erica Wynn, who was walking northbound across Tuscarawas. The impact threw Wynn into the westbound lane, where she was struck by a 2018 Honda Civic.
Wynn was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The Canton Metro Crash Team is investigating the incident.
