A Canton man was arrested Thursday following a multi-agency drug raid that resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, firearms, and vehicles, authorities said.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, in coordination with the Medway Drug Enforcement Agency and the Canton Police Department, executed a search warrant at a home in the 2800 block of Dorothy Avenue NE as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.
Rashawn Emmanuel Phillips, 30, of Canton, was taken into custody at the residence. He faces multiple felony charges, including first-degree felony counts of possession and trafficking of cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs, and aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Law enforcement officials reported seizing the following items during the search:
1,057 grams (2.33 pounds) of cocaine 452 grams (1 pound) of methamphetamine 783 methamphetamine pills 20 fentanyl pills $4,940 in cash An FN handgun Three vehicles: a 2014 Ford Fusion, a 2018 BMW X5, and a 2022 Dodge Challenger Scat Pak
“This operation is a testament to the power of collaboration,” Stark County Sheriff Eric Weisburn said in a statement. “Removing these dangerous substances from our streets is a win for public safety and another step toward enhancing the safety of our neighborhoods.”
