An armed suspect robbed the Dollar General in Waynesburg early Friday morning, according to Stark County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Connie Deibel.
Deibel said deputies received a 9:38 a.m. call reporting a robbery in progress at the store at 8565 Waynesburg Drive SE. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.
The suspect displayed a weapon and made off with an undetermined amount of money, Deibel said. No injuries were reported.
Investigators are continuing to review the incident, and the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call (330) 430-3800.
Additional details, including surveillance images or a suspect description, were not immediately released Friday.
