Authorities safely removed a suspected explosive device early Friday morning along the 14000 block of Lincoln Way West, according to the North Lawrence Fire Department.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 12:21 a.m. at the request of law enforcement and the Summit County Bomb Squad. Officials said a unified command was established and a portion of the roadway was shut down as a precaution.
The device was recovered and removed by the Summit County Bomb Squad. Crews remained on scene to assist multiple agencies, including law enforcement and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released additional details about the device. Officials also thanked responding agencies and dispatchers for their efforts in maintaining public safety.
