A Canton family was displaced Tuesday morning after a fire damaged a two-story home on Regal Avenue Northeast.
The Canton Fire Department responded to the reported residential structure fire at about 10:30 a.m. at 1721 Regal Ave. N.E. Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from second-floor windows, according to the department.
One adult woman and three juveniles had already evacuated the home before firefighters arrived. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
The home was deemed uninhabitable due to fire damage, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
The fire originated in a second-floor bedroom, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Estimated losses were placed at $30,000 to the structure and $10,000 to its contents.
