A work-related death is under investigation after an incident at an Alliance industrial facility Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death occurred at the Hoopes-Edwards facility in the 9800 block of Freshley Avenue. The incident was reported at about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 30, according to sheriff’s office spokesperson Connie Deibel.
Deputies responded to the scene along with the Lexington Fire Department. Investigators from the Stark County Coroner’s Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were also called to assist.
Both OSHA and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office are conducting investigations into the incident.
No additional information was available as of Tuesday evening.
