Authorities have identified the woman killed after being struck by a train Thursday morning in Canton.
According to the Stark County Coroner’s Office, the victim has been identified as 26-year-old Joselynn Stanley, who was believed to be homeless at the time of the incident.
The crash occurred around 9:25 a.m. near the 1200 block of Camden Avenue Southwest, according to Canton police Lt. Dennis Garren. Stanley was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The Canton Metro Crash Team is continuing to investigate the incident. No additional details have been released.
