The Canton Police Department is investigating an incident that left a 14-year-old girl injured after being struck while crossing Tuscarawas Street W in the 2300 block on an electric scooter early Monday morning.
Police said the crash happened just before 7 a.m. when the juvenile girl was crossing the street on an electric scooter and was hit by a car. The driver stopped after the crash and remained at the scene.
The 14-year-old was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation by the Canton Police Department. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
