Police: Jackson Township woman abducted at knifepoint, suspect arrested

A Jackson Township man is facing multiple charges after police said he abducted a 31-year-old woman at knifepoint Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to 6880 Sunset Strip Avenue NW at 5:23 p.m. after it was reported that Kayla Marie Giltz, 31, had been taken against her will by Jamie Triplett, 38, who resides at the same address.

Police located both Giltz and Triplett at the Sunset Strip Avenue residence. Investigators said Giltz was not injured.

Triplett was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail. He is charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony; kidnapping, a second-degree felony; disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony; and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor.
