A Columbiana County man has claimed a $1 million prize from an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket.
The Leetonia resident won the top prize on a $30 Royal Riches scratch-off game, lottery officials announced Monday. While the ticket offers payments of $80,000 annually for 25 years, the winner chose the $1 million cash option, which amounts to $720,000 after taxes.
The winning ticket was purchased at DP Fuel, located on State Route 7 in New Waterford.
As of Monday, six top prizes remained in the Royal Riches game, according to the Ohio Lottery.
