A 78-year-old woman is in critical condition after falling from a boat Monday evening at Meyers Lake in Stark County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said the woman fell into the water near the Meyers Lake marina and experienced a non-fatal drowning. Emergency crews responded to the Meyers Lake Sportsman’s Club, 1672 North Park Ave NW, after a 911 call was made at 7:04 p.m.
The woman was transported to Aultman Hospital’s emergency department and later admitted to the intensive care unit, Stark County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Connie Deibel said.
Her name has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
