A 63-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning at an Akron gas station, according to police.
Akron police officers responded at approximately 6:33 a.m. Aug. 30 to the Circle K at 940 S. Arlington St. after witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots.
Officers arrived and found the 63-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives and members of the Akron Police Department Crime Scene Unit responded to canvass the area and process the scene.
Police have not released the victim’s identity or information about a possible suspect or motive. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
