Families looking to escape this week’s heat will have an opportunity to do so at no cost for their children thanks to a local business.
Simpson Salute Heating and Air is sponsoring free admission for children at both the Dover City Pool and Tuscora Park pool in New Philadelphia as temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s this week.
At the Dover City Pool, the company will cover admission for children ages 7 to 18 on Tuesday, July 14, Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16. Children ages 6 and younger are already admitted free.
At Tuscora Park, Simpson Salute Heating and Air will also pay admission for children ages 5 to 18 during the same three-day period. Children ages 4 and younger are admitted free to the kiddie pool.
The company said the effort is its way of helping local families stay cool during the summer heat while giving back to the communities it serves.
“We’re in the business of keeping people cool … and this week, we’re doing it outside the thermostat,” Simpson Salute Heating and Air wrote in a social media post announcing the promotion.
The company encouraged families to take advantage of the opportunity to cool off and enjoy the pools during the hot weather.
Admission at both pools is subject to capacity limits.
