Akron Police investigating fatal morning shooting on Kenmore Boulevard

Akron police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in the 800 block of Kenmore Boulevard.

Police said officers responded around 10:01 a.m. May 27 after witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they found a 29-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Detectives from the Akron Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene and collect evidence.
