Authorities are searching for an 81-year-old Stark County man who was reported missing after leaving his home in Plain Township.
David A. Shaffer left his residence in the 3100 block of Gloucester Drive NE around noon Thursday, Jan. 29, and has not been heard from since, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
Shaffer is believed to be driving a 2011 white GMC Acadia with Ohio license plate JVG6979. Officials said he has dementia and may not have his medication with him.
Shaffer is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 260 pounds, with gray hair, brown eyes and a small gray mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, a gray plaid flannel shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.
