Stephanie Condric, a Canton resident accused of running an illicit gambling enterprise, admitted guilt on Wednesday for defrauding the Internal Revenue Service, court documents revealed.

The records indicated that Condric oversaw and later co-owned an unauthorized gambling establishment named Gametastic in Canton from 2014 to 2018.

Allegations suggest that the business skirted tax obligations by neglecting to report employees’ cash wages to the IRS.

Furthermore, legal filings disclosed that Condric submitted falsified tax documents, concealing a portion of the personal earnings she accrued from the enterprise.

Consequently, Condric’s sentencing awaits a future date. The U.S. Department of Justice has indicated that she could face a maximum sentence of five years in prison, along with mandated restitution and financial penalties.

As the investigation unfolds, further details remain pending.
