The Canton Police Department is investigating a homicide in the city that occurred Wednesday evening.
According to police chief John Gabbard, officers were dispatched to 2215 Tuscarawas St. E for reports of a man that had stabbed another man.
When police arrived to the scene, they located a man in the rear of the building, with multiple stab wounds to his upper chest.
The victim, identified as Keith Dwayne Griggs, 54, of Canton, was transported to Aultman Hospital where he died of his injuries a short time later.
Canton Police quickly arrested Willis Ricardo Kennedy, 38, of Canton. He’s facing one count of Aggravated Murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
