Two Melt Bar and Grilled locations in Ohio have closed, including the one right here in Stark County.

The Jackson Township restaurant and another one in Dayton, OH were shut down Monday, the company said in a statement.

“It’s been five great years at both locations, however, we feel having a smaller footprint and getting back to our hometown Cleveland roots is incredibly important right now,” owner Matt Fish said. “This was a very difficult decision for many reasons, but ultimately this move will put the company in a much better position for continued success.”

The Jackson Township location has been open since 2017, located on the exterior of Belden Village Mall.

“We realized in late 2022, that a smaller restaurant group would be much better for us to manage regarding operations and guest experience,” Fish said when he commented about the closures.
