HS Golf Tuesday: Carrollton earns 3rd tourney win at NorthStar; Dover wins Quaker Boys Invitational

The Carrollton Warriors earned their third victory in three tournaments at Tuesday’s Division II Warrior-Jaguar Classic at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury.

Jaxon Rinkes shot a 2-over 74 to lead Carrollton to the tournament victory, while Cayden Rininger shot a 79 (+5). Micah Barkan, John Birong, and Colton Moore each shot 80s (+8) to add to the Warriors’ final total of 313.

Hiland’s boys squad represented the Inter-Valley Conference with a 7th-place finish. The Hawks were led by top scorer Lucas Yoder (78, +6), as well as Nathan Kline (80, +8), Jack Mast (84, +12), and Camden Bille (85, +13).

QUAKER BOYS INVITATIONAL

Dover shot a total of 305 to win the Quaker Boys Invitational on Tuesday at Oak Shadows.

Dylan Grewell posted a 72 for the Crimson Tornadoes, along with qualifying scores from Jacob Hanner (75), Ryan Yoder (77), and Zach Dale (81).

Host New Philadelphia finished in second place with a 346 total, followed by Claymont (3rd, 368), Ridgewood (417, 4th), Massillon Washington (444, 5th), and Canton South (6th, 452).

BOYS GOLF – REGULAR SEASON

SANDY VALLEY 159, TUSCARAWAS VALLEY 222

Sandy Valley earned its first regular season with with an easy Tuesday night victory over Tusky Valley at Wilkshire.

Connor Ritter took the medalist honors with a 1-under 35 for the Cardinals.
