The Canton Police Department has arrested a second teenager in connection with the Monday murder of Sean Rex in northeast Canton.

Police arrested Justice D. St. John, 18, of 11th St. NW Wednesday morning at a home in the 8500 block of Whitmer Place NE in Lake Township, according to jail records.

Lt. Dennis Garren told JMN that St. John is accused of being an accomplice in the shooting death of Rex, 47. He has been charged with complicity to aggravated murder and complicity to aggravated robbery.

Rex was found shot in the head of his kitchen in the 2100 block of Seventh St. NE Monday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly named Darcell Anthony Jr., 19, of Canton, as a suspect, accusing him of pulling the trigger. He was arrested less than 24 hours after the shooting. Anthony Jr. was charged with murder.

A motive has not been released regarding the shooting. Both of the suspect are being held without bond at the Stark County Jail.
