Law enforcement are investigating a fatal accident that happened Friday morning in Massillon.
Ohio State Highway Patrol said a man driving a black Honda Civid died after crashing into two utility poles while fleeing police. The driver was running away from Massillon police. The crash occurred on State Route 172, according to officials.
The driver died at the scene. The driver has been identified as 23-year-old Joshua Hazzard.
The Massillon office involved in the chase was not injured.
