The Canton Police Department says a Plain Township man died Tuesday night in a car accident on U.S. Route 62.
The man, Joseph Hester, 50, of Cliftmont Avenue NE, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred just after 11 p.m.
Hester was driving a 2008 Saturn and a 25-year-old Canton man was driving a 2015 Acura when the crash occurred in an eastbound lane. The 25-year-old has not been identified, but he was not seriously injured.
The Canton Metro Crash Team are investigating the crash. No details have been released at this time.
