In a No. 1 vs. 2 showdown Division III East District volleyball final, Fort Frye topped state-ranked and No. 1 Tusky Valley (25-18, 25-21, 16-25, 25-19) at Cambridge High School.

The Cadets, ranked No. 9. will play Frankfort Adena in the Division III Regional semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 4 at a site to be determined.

T.V. ends the season at 23-3.

SHENANDOAH, 25-25-25, STRASBURG 20-21-14

Top-ranked Shenandoah defeated No. 6 Strasburg in straight sets for the Division IV District title at John Glenn High School.

Emma Gilkerson (12 points, 16 digs, four kills), Paige Garren (13 digs, 10 kills), and Maddy Edwards (21 assists, 13 digs) led Strasburg in their final match of the year.

The Zeps (21-5) will play Newark Catholic Galion Northmor in the Regional semis on Thursday.

TRI-VALLEY 25-20-25-25, DOVER 23-25-21-18

The Crimson Tornadoes only mustered a set win in what turned into a four-set loss to top-seeded Tri-Valley at the Division II District finals at Harrison Central High School.

Taylor Luneborg had 21 kills, 25 digs, and nine points for Dover, along with Morgan Kiser (15 kills, 31 digs, seven points).

The Scotties face off with No. 2 seed Meadowbrook in a Regional semis on Thursday.

MEADOWBROOK 25-25-25, CLAYMONT 12-18-17

The Colts topped No. 3 Claymont in straight sets on Saturday at Buckeye Trail.

Meadowbrook improved to 21-4 on the year.
