After more than a month of searching, human remains have been found in a Florida nature reserve that officials have search for Bryan Laundrie in.

“Partial human remains have been found in the Carlton Reserve in a location that was previously under water,” according to a law enforcement official per NBC News.

There’s been no confirmation as to whether the human remains are those of Laundrie or not.

Laundrie’s parents directed FBI agents and North Port police to the location where “some articles belonging to Brian were found,” according to a statement by Laundrie attorney Steven Bertolino.

“Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park this morning to search for Brian,” Bertolino said.

The entrance to the park is located roughly five miles from the Laundrie family home.

Laundrie, the fiancé of Gabby Petito, is considered a person of interest in her disappearance. Petito was found dead in September in Wyoming. An autopsy revealed she died by strangulation.
