Jackson Township Police have confirmed the body of Jane McClelland was discovered Sunday morning behind The Strip in Canton near Stark State College.
McClelland, 64, was reported missing Friday by her nursing home. She was a resident at Laurel’s of Massillon and suffered from Alzheimer’s.
At this time police do not believe foul play is suspected, but an autopsy of her body will be performed by the Stark County Coroner’s Office to determine cause of death.
She was reported missing Friday evening after leaving Hudec Dental. She was reportedly dropped off at Giant Eagle and those were her last known whereabouts.
