21-year-old Gage Woods has been charged with Felonious Assault (F2) after being arrested in connection to a shooting that left a juvenile injured.
On Monday, February 8th, 2021, deputies responded to a shooting in the 12000 block of Lisbon Street SE in Paris Township. Upon arrival, a juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds was found in the 14000 block of Lincoln Street SE. He was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Woods was arrested Tuesday, February 9th by the Stark County Sheriff’s Deputies in collaboration with the Northeast Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. He was charged with one count of Felonious Assault (F2) and booked into the Stark County Jail.
Woods was the suspect in the 2019 shooting death of Jerry Hendershot, 32, of Waynesburg, but was cleared of the murder charge in what his attorney called a case of self defense at the time.
