A woman was found dead Wednesday morning in Alliance in what police are investigating as a homicide, authorities said.
Alliance police were called to the 300 block of West Ely Street just after 7 a.m. after a female victim in her late 30s was discovered inside a home. Investigators believe the woman died from a gunshot wound.
According to initial information, the victim was found by one of her children.
Police are actively searching for a person of interest in connection with the case. No additional details about the individual have been released.
