A 20-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Saturday in Columbiana County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Lisbon Post said the crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Heck Road, about a half-mile west of Kibler Road.
Cody Maddox Royal Brayshaw, of Unity, was traveling west on a 2002 Harley-Davidson when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the left side of the road, and struck a tree, troopers said.
Brayshaw was transported to a hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Authorities said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
