Two Canton men were arrested and multiple firearms and narcotics were seized during a drug investigation in Stark County, authorities announced Thursday.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said a search warrant was carried out in the 800 block of McGregor Avenue NW in Canton. The operation involved the sheriff’s Metro Narcotics Unit in coordination with the Canton Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and the Adult Parole Authority.
Deputies said the following individuals were taken into custody:
- Daylin Daniels, 25, of Canton, arrested on a parole violation.
- Nijoel Ellis, 27, of Canton, arrested on one count of receiving stolen property (firearm), a fourth-degree felony.
Investigators reported seizing three firearms — one confirmed stolen — along with $780 in U.S. currency, 49 grams of cocaine and 84 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
The investigation remains active and additional charges are expected, according to the sheriff’s office.
