A second Taco Bell restaurant could be coming to the city of Dover, according to Mayor Shane Gunnoe.

During Monday’s City Council meeting, Gunnoe said the city has received a request to authorize construction of a new Taco Bell store at 121 Dublin Drive, adjacent to the Drug Mart plaza.

“This would be the company’s second location in the city and one of the first to feature their new exterior design,” Gunnoe told council.

The city’s Planning Commission is scheduled to review the proposed site plan at its next meeting on Aug. 12.
