A Canton man has pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal shooting at a Halloween party in Springfield Township in Summit County.
Terrance Williams, 25, entered guilty pleas April 28 in Summit County Common Pleas Court to two counts of felonious assault, involuntary manslaughter and a three-year firearm specification. He had previously been charged with two counts of murder, six counts of felonious assault and one count of obstructing justice.
Williams is scheduled to be sentenced at 1 p.m. June 9 by Jennifer Towell.
The charges stem from a shooting that occurred just after midnight on Oct. 27, 2025, when Springfield Township Police Department responded to a Halloween party in the 1400 block of Canton Road.
Authorities said Brian Cofer, 39, was fatally shot. Andrew Marker was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
In a related case, Christian Diaz-Sauceda, 25, of Canton, has been charged with two counts of felonious assault.
