A 22-year-old man has died following an accident involving a skid steer loader late Friday in Perry Township.
The Perry Township Police Department said officers were called to the area of Erie Street SW around 11:46 p.m. Aug. 8. The Perry Township Fire Department also responded and provided medical aid at the scene.
The victim, identified as Cole E. Parker, was taken to Aultman Hospital by township firefighters for treatment. Police said Parker later died from his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Perry Township Police Department. No further details have been released.
In a statement, Police Chief Bryan D. Taylor expressed condolences to Parker’s family and friends, asking the public to respect their privacy. He also thanked the Stark County Coroner’s Office, Aultman Hospital and the Perry Township Fire Department for their assistance.
