A large police presence at a home along West Boulevard in Jackson Township Wednesday afternoon ended without incident after a misunderstanding involving a family member.
Jordan Miller News received multiple tips reporting a significant law enforcement response, with officers from the Jackson Township Police Department arriving on scene with firearms drawn.
Officials with the department said the situation began when a homeowner reported seeing someone inside the residence whom they did not recognize. Police responded quickly to investigate the potential break-in.
After officers spent time on scene, the homeowner determined the individual was actually a sister-in-law who had been at the house. Authorities said the relative had already left the property by the time the first officer arrived.
