New Philadelphia’s volleyball team picked up its first conference victory of the season Tuesday, Aug. 25, with a dominant straight-set win over Mansfield, 25-3, 25-5, 25-10.
Aliya Milligan led New Philadelphia with 17 points, 12 aces and seven assists. Abbey Sweitzer added 10 points, seven aces and five kills.
Lilyanna Wells contributed eight points, four aces, eight assists and seven digs, while Stella Halter recorded five kills. Addy Burnworth finished with seven points and seven aces.
The victory improved New Philadelphia to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in Ohio Cardinal Conference play.
New Philadelphia also won the junior varsity match in straight sets, 25-7, 25-5.
