A missing adult was rescued Monday evening from the wooded area surrounding Walborn Reservoir in Stark County, thanks to the coordinated efforts of multiple emergency response agencies.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., Sgt. Kelly and Chief Devies of the Marlboro Township Police Department responded to assist the Stark County Park Rangers in locating the individual, who was believed to be in the woods and possibly in need of medical attention.
The search involved several agencies and ultimately led to the missing person being found on one of the reservoir’s banks. The individual required immediate medical care and was transported by boat to the boat ramp before being taken by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Agencies involved in the rescue included the Stark County Park Rangers, Marlboro Township Police, Marlboro Fire & EMS, and Lexington Fire & EMS. Dispatchers for each agency were also recognized for their critical role in the response.
Officials commended the successful outcome, describing it as a strong example of teamwork and interagency cooperation.
