The Marlington Lady Dukes varsity volleyball team opened their season Tuesday night with a straight-sets victory over Woodridge.
Marlington won by scores of 25-22, 25-10 and 25-20.
Danica Sarchione led the Dukes at the net with 10 kills. Giana Bogunovich followed with nine kills, and Marisa Casto added seven.
Cali Young set the pace with 24 assists and 16 points on serve, while Amiiah Sickles contributed nine digs.
With the win, the Dukes improve to 1-0. They return to action Thursday at home against Twinsburg.
